What are the best ways to pack your carry on bag to make the best use of the space you have? Obviously just throwing everything in and hoping for the best isn’t going to work too well. In the videos below, I am going to show you three different ways of packing. This is what I would typically take for a one week vacation to a warmer destination. If I wanted to have more space to bring items back with me I would have to either pack less or check a suitcase. But in this example I will assume you just want to travel with a carry on bag. We will try to pack by folding clothes, rolling clothes, and by packing rolled clothes into packing cubes.
Folded Clothes in Your Carry On
Folded clothes did not fit well into this carry on. I would have to take less or put it into a checked suitcase if I wanted to fold my clothing. This does not seem to be an efficient way to pack your carry on.
Rolled Clothes in Your Carry On
Rolling the clothes made them fit much better into the bag. It is still a tight fit with little extra room, but it would work. This could be among the best ways to pack your carryon.
Packing Cubes in Your Carry On
Using the packing cubes to pack rolled clothes didn’t make much difference as far as space goes. However, the packing cubes do make it much easier to stay organized. Compression cubes are also now available which could give even more room in your bag. This is also one of the best ways to pack your carry on.
